Update: the replacement grinder I got from Cuisinart died today. I checked and cleaned the grinding chamber. I made sure the grinder wheel inside the chamber moves freely and it still doesn't run at all. Out it goes in the trash can and no more Cuisinart coffee grinder. I'm glad I got a spare non Cuisinart coffee grinder ready for use. Cusinart = Crapinart Purchased it last December and it just died. No motor activity... checked blades to find them move freely.. no jams. I had old one that worked for years and was disappointed to find new one not lasting long. I have another one in another home that also died. So disappointed. I noticed same complaints from others concerning same issue. I will call Cuisinart tomorrow. Update: I called Cuisinart... the rep was nice and said it is under warranty. They will ship a new one to me. I was told I have to pay $10 to ship the old back! I protested and said I will use other shipper which is cheaper than UPS. The fee is waived but I have to bring it to a shipper to ship it back. Buyer beware!!! You have to pay to ship broken or defective product under warranty back to Cuisinart! I have other Cuisinart appliances.... I think I will not buy another Cuisinart appliances again.
