★★☆☆☆
Not very detailed.
I guess I had higher expectations for this book. I bought another book and between the two, the other book is way more informative -even has side by side photos of the plant you want and the toxic lookalike to be avoided. This book has very basic descriptions of plants and uses, and doesn't quite tell you how everything should be cooked to be made edible. "Cook this like a vegetable" -well is that steamed, fried, sautéed, roasted, boiled? This book just states what the toxic lookalike is, [lookalike photos are way in the back of the book, I found that out now that I've skimmed through most of it] with no info on how to tell the difference in making sure you have the correct edible. Very basic in my opinion. Even in stating the medicinal uses "it could help with ____" -doesn't go into detail with that either though. I'm actually very disappointed.
