Thick formula, may be too dark for fair skin
My skin is light with a neutral undertone, and I typically buy foundations in the shade ivory, classic ivory, or nude (generally speaking of course). I wouldn't consider myself to be pale. I purchased this in the shade fair-light 20 based on reviews and a bit of research. I was surprised to see that it went on pretty dark, and after a bit of oxidizing it became a full two shades darker than my skin tone. I mixed it with a really light shade BB cream I luckily had on hand, and that helped, but the formula itself is quite thick and it was pretty difficult to blend out with a brush or beauty blender. I ended up layering underneath the BB cream and then setting with the BareMinerals brightening mineral veil and it looked fine. I will say though, I could not wear it on its own as even after blending it out, it was simply too dark and due to the thick consistency it looked patchy on me. I gave it two stars because I do have sensitive skin and it didn't make me break out, and it seemed to be hydrating which is always a plus, but the formula is simply not flattering at all for my skin and not blend-able.
