I purchased this item twice. The first time in April 2018. I used it once a week and it lasted two months. The motor became louder and louder, and it seemed to overheat while using it so I oiled the blades and continued using it. All of sudden it started smoking and the motor froze up. I purchased it again in July 2018 thinking maybe I just got a lemon the first time. The second one broke after using it twice. The bottom cutting blade flew out while using it. Pretty dangerous actually. I tried repeatedly to fix the item myself, but the blade kept flying off. I spent the extra money thinking this pair of clippers would likely cut better and last longer. I’ve had clippers I paid $19 last two years. I definitely don’t recommend this product.
