Purchased this space heater for my infant’s room (keeping it a safe distance from the crib) about 2 months ago. The product worked well and aside from the loud “beep” expelled when pressing buttons (assuming it’s a safety feature), I had no complaints. I turn the heater on every night to 73 degrees, close the door, and turn the ceiling fan on low to help circulate stale air before bed. I check the temperature settings before placing my daughter in the crib. Again, no problems. One night, after my 5 month old had been sleeping for a few hours she begins crying. It’s 85 degrees!!! The settings are still set to 73 however it shows and feels 85! My daughter is sweating and clearly uncomfortable, her pajamas are damp. Excessive heat is a strong risk factor for SIDS... DANGEROUS PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY. I want to smash this piece of garbage in a manner akin to Office Space. I am LIVID.
