I did a considerable amount of research before purchasing this item. It had excellent reviews, many people touted the quality customer service, and it had reasonably priced replacement filters. When it arrived, I was generally pleased with my purchase; however, it did seem to be louder than I expected. Now I know that was because it was not aligned properly, which, over time, has caused the inner pole that two circular fans oscillate around to wear unevenly (or maybe it was always slightly bent and it has just gotten worse) to the point it is completely unusable now. It is so misaligned and unevenly weighted that the entire air filter shakes across the floor even on the lowest setting and is extremely loud. This is after approximately 10 months of normal use. Very disappointed at the poor quality because now I have several extra, unused filters and an unusable air filter. I would caution new buyers to check that the device oscillates perfectly in line so that you do not end up with the same issue.
