This is a great quality carrier and I was very impressed with it and its features upon unboxing. It seemed it would be a great carrier to take a cat on walks/or a visit somewhere where they might initially be scared and attempt to run away. My plan was to get our 5 month old kitten use to going in the car and on walks with us and then eventually switch her to a halter and leash when she is no longer scared. The problem is after just a short walk with the outside temp in the 60's and a good breeze the inside of the carrier gets very hot in the sunlight due to the materials they are made of and inadequate ventilation. After about 20 minutes I took the backpack off to check on her and she was panting and acting sick. I stuck my hand in the bag and was very hot! I had to get her out and carry her to the car and it took a couple hours for her to recuperate. I'm afraid somebody's pet is going to have a heat stroke from these bags due to inadequate ventilation. AN ANIMAL SHOULD NEVER BE PLACED INSIDE ONE OF THESE WITHOUT A MINI FAN AND THESE BAGS SHOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT BE SOLD WITHOUT A FAN BEING INCLUDED AND A WARNING TO USE THE FAN FOR PROPER VENTHILATION. Also, it has me worried if a fan would even be sufficient in cooling the inside when the temps are in the 80's and 90's which is the typical temperature when go walking. I will order a mini rechargeable fan and try this again and see how the walks go when the temps get higher and update my review at a later date.
