Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I was influenced by the raving reviews on here, but wonder how many are fake! I bought two similar sets, one for my husband and one for me. His will be a Christmas gift, so it has not been opened yet. With mine (which is the one pictured in this review), the toenail clipper fell apart upon first use. I was able to “repair” it myself because the tiny metal peg just needed to be placed back between the two parts to operate it. However that took about half an hour of maneuvering but I was determined to fix it. After I fixed it I decided to not use it right away, and tried the smaller clip on my finger nails. It worked okay, but that also needed a lot of pressure to trim my nails. So, as others have indicated, it’s a bit of a dull blade. For the price point on these manicure sets that claim they’re made in Germany, where they usually DO make superior steel implements like this, it is rather lame. I’m giving this two stars because the zippered case and the way the items securely fit into it, is a nice feature. Also, the nail file, cuticle pusher, two nail scissors and tweezers seem just fine. The scissors seem to function fine so far, like trimming my eyebrows (I know that’s not the best way to trim them, but it works for me). Anyway, right after I try the newly repaired toenail clippers, I’ll update this review — I’ll wait till my husband receives his gift too. If there are any additional problems or my toenail clippers fall apart again, I’ll be sure to downgrade this review to one star. I would never buy this brand again, and hopefully will make the Amazon return deadline, if needed! Wish me luck, please. UPDATED - 12/23/17 — I’ve downgraded my rating from two stars to one star for the following reasons....my husband opened HIS manicure set before x-mas because I wanted to expedite any possible returns. Even though HIS clippers did not break yet, he says they are so dull that he won’t use them. Also, as you can read above, the manufacturer replied to my original review, apologized, and suggested I contact the company separately. I then replied with a request for the best contact info/email to reach them. I am still waiting for their reply. Meanwhile, my return window may be expired by now. I’ve lost respect for the company, at this point, and wish I could post ZERO stars! ANOTHER UPDATE: 1/15/18....I still have not heard from this company and am convinced they run a scam operation! I’m getting ready to duplicate this horrible review, for my husband’s separate manicure kit, as referenced above. HIS nail clippers are too blunt to even attempt to use! I don’t know how they’ve gotten away with sending low quality products at good quality prices....I guess all the FAKE stellar reviews are working for them...I was one of the suckers that believed them, ugh!
