A knockoff with the Black + Decker logo
First off, this is NOT a Black + Decker product. It's b+d branded, but that's it. Manufacturing, service, etc are the sole responsibility of W Appliances, a completely different company.
I discovered that tidbit when, after a whole 30 min, my kitchen floor was flooded the first time I tried to use the machine.
I tried figuring out the problem using the manual, but it's so poorly written that trying to attach the bottom cover (a 30 second procedure) took 20 min and a fruitless internet search. I'm still not sure if I got it right, to be honest.
Anyhow, the leak...
No matter what settings the machine is on, water just goes through this thing. The water is literally just spraying from the intake, and getting pushed right out the drain tube. Half of my clothes are still dry. Water is going where it's supposed to go, so this isn't a leak, and the manual doesn't have anything to say about what to do if the machine is bulimic. It mentions checking the hose connections, but that obviously didn't fix the problem.
So I tried contacting Black + Decker. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't find the washer anywhere on their site. Not a single mention.
A helpful chat with tech support informed me that they have nothing to do with the washer. They gave me an email address, wished me good luck, and went back to taking care of real b+d products.
I don't know who's writing all those 5 star reviews, and I'm really wondering if we got the same machine at all.
