I was so excited to receive this air conditioner. It looks beautiful and has a remote control. After reading the instructions, I found that the "washable and reusable air filter" was missing. Not in it's place and not packed in another location of the box. When turning on the unit, the compressor worked as I felt the back of the unit was cold, but the fan never turned on. Even utilizing just the "fan mode".....no fan. So disappointing. Especially because it is going to be 95 degrees here today. I called Midea directly and got a very abrupt, curt representative who clearly did not want to take any time with me or help in any way. She told me to contact Amazon. The good part of this story is Amazon. May was courteous, informative, understanding and kind. She offered either a full refund or replacement. After my sour experience with Midea, I will be ordering an air conditioner from another manufacturer. Hope this review will help future buyers.
