Different than they used to be
So I've been using these insoles for about two years, and this is probably my fourth or fifth pair. Obviously, I was a big fan of them. However, the pair I bought most recently is basically unwearable. They seem to have changed the material on the arch support, which is now a fairly rigid piece of plastic. Even just walking in them, you can feel the plastic uncomfortably pushing into your feet. I had planned on using them for a run last night, but that was out of the question. I went to Target and purchased a pair of Dr. Scholl's Sport insoles, as they seemed to have a less pronounced arch support based on the pictures. Unfortunately, it was more of the same. I have abnormally high arches and have never had this issue with these insoles before. Being that they're so high and the plastic still comes into so much contact, I can imagine these would be even more uncomfortable for someone with lower arches. Sadly, I spent about $30 on both pairs of insoles, and both were too uncomfortable to even walk in for short periods, let alone run 5 miles. I won't be purchasing these again.
