It's irritating that historical documents of such importance to our democracy (especially today, when it is in such great peril) should be so shabbily and confusingly presented, with little to no context. I would advise against purchasing this book. Examples: The book's title says it includes the Declaration of Independence; all it shows is an illegible photo of the original doc. The page titled 'Declaration of Independence' is actually the Constitution preamble. There is no title page for the actual Constitution itself. The page titled 'Bill of Rights' is not actually the bill of rights, it is the document that proposed the 12 so-called 'articles' that eventually were adopted as the first 10 amendments to the constitution (two were rejected).
