This little battery-operated sound box nearly attains lovable kitsch status.... If it weren't for the fact that it's just downright chintzy. I'm afraid it's a low-quality recording of a bowl of Rice Crispies, freshly drenched with milk. At least that's what it sounds like. Guests will wonder why you put a bowl of cereal behind your fake fire set. A good conversation starter for sure. But everyone will want it turned off once the laughter is over, because the sound is sort of grating. Wanted to love it. But have to return it. I found a youtube recording of a real fire just to check my memory of what a fire in a fireplace really sounds like. It sounds like a fire. This....Rice Crispies.
