This is a hot water bottle in one big fuzzy sock. It is NOT a "rechargeable" electric item (the "recharging" here is just reheating of the water in the hot water bottle. Also, the plug that sticks out of the hot water bottle is inconveniently located in the center and one's foot cannot avoid resting on top of it (partly on a hard plastic plug, partly on the squishy hot water bottle). Another also: I thought there would be one of these for each foot - not so and that means either you try to fit both feet in together (not easy) or heat one foot at a time. "Happy heat"? Not so much!
