Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

This winder I initially thought was going to be a handy, albeit gimmicky, addition to my shop. At first (during the summer) this worked okay but not much to write home about. The winding mechanism is not the best I've ever seen and the fact that you have to hold a good deal of pressure on the plate to make it wind. The real reason for two stars is because this really doesn't work in cold weather. Even with premium extension cords, the winder just won't grip cold cable. The winder does however seem to work okay in temps greater than 60f and absolutely does not work below freezing. If you only plan on using this indoors in a constant environmentally controlled area this may work well for you. If your shop is left cold except when you are in it, or you plan on using this outdoors and the temperature drops below 40f, I really wouldn't recommend this.
