Updated 8-9-20 So after a month and a half I just noticed that the underside of the unit stays extremely wet from condensation and it has already destroyed the window and siding from rot. The 25$ in electric savings is not comparable to the thousands in damage it did to my house. WTF were you thinking MIDEA????!!!! AND IT'S NOW PAST THE RETURN PERIOD, THANKS FOR SCREWING ME OVER..... Second update, took it apart to clean it because it was full of mildew and making us sick and discovered it's already rotting out (SEE PICTURES). This is too much money to get only a season or two out of, especially after the damage the condensation did to the window... Definitely uses less electric, but there's no way this thing is 12,000 btu. Maybe 9000 if it's lucky. Im under the sq footage recommendation, but when it's actually hot out, it can't keep up. Set at 72 but it's usually around 78 in here by evening. It is very quiet so you will be able to hear the strange noises the coolant makes when it cycles thru the system. Kinda sounds like something from the Jetsons cartoon.
