I want to like this fan, I really do. I have purchased and owned two of them (both brand new). The first fan lasted several years, and originally I had no complaints. However as often happens with fans, dust began to collect all over the blade on the internal of the assembly. The dust became too thick to blow off with a compressed air can. I looked up online how to disassemble the unit for cleaning and was shocked to find that these fans are purposefully designed to prevent disassembly for cleaning. The advice I found online was simply not to bother. Since my fan was so dusty that it was barely working (after years of use), I decided to try it anyway. After removing the screws from the assembly, there are plastic pins in place so that the only way to access the interior blade is to break the pins and the fan assembly itself. After destroying the first fan I ordered a brand new one, hoping to dust this one regularly so the same issue wouldn't occur. The fuse in the AC adapter blew after 2 months of use. I replaced it with several new fuses, the fan has never turned back on again. I am now done with this company. Save your money and buy a cheaper fan designed so that you can clean and maintenance it. These fans work great when they work, but as soon as they get a dust build up, they belong in the trash. Do not pay this much money for what amounts to a disposable tower fan.
