Buyer beware. First things first the part number the ends in 01 is the original saw. NO DIABLO BLADE as heavily advertised by Skillsaw and no soft start, but the one that ends in 22. I called Skil and they are very SKILLED at having terrible customer service. With an attitude their response was if you don’t like it just return it. Two managers and a customer service rep basically blew me off.they refused to ship me a blade and the vibe I got was are you to cheap to spend $60 on a blade. No I’m not but if you advertise the blade I want it. If you go on their site they never say there are two different part numbers for this saw. Secondly yes it has a badarse motor that chews up anything you throw at it but far from accurate. Out of the box I had to fully set it up. Not a single thing what properly set up at the factory. Yes I am a bit OCD when it comes to setting up my tools but come on everything. I’m not a DIY’R. I’m a professional and rely on my tools to put food on the table. Once set up I still found I was not dead square like my dewalt and delta table saws. Skil what happened to the electric brake. Like I said the motor is a beast and spools up to a very fast spin cycle but once spinning and you kill the power it spins for what feels like an eternity. Such a turnoff. Next I found it to be extremely awkward and super heavy to lug around, mostly because of the motor because other than the screws everything is very plasticky. Last but not least they should have not bothered designing a spot to store all the accessories. While carrying it from the house to my truck I dropped the pushstick, the miter gauge was next to fall and the fence just popped off. It didn’t fall but it bugged me it popped off since it’s kind of a nuisance to get it into position. I had to laugh when it all fell. It was like a trail of breadcrumbs back to the house. The only thing I really like about this saw is the stand. It folds nicely and it is rock solid. the stand is not included. Other than the worm drive circ saws I use for framing. Skil has always made cheap tools for diy’ers and homeowners and this saw does not belong in the hands of a professional. I own a harbor fright ( lol not mispelled ) I purchased in a pinch for $129 and in my opinion its on par . Skil lost a customer for life by acting the way they did
