The size of the brushes were advertised as 3/4-inch and 1-inch which should have been perfect for my short hair. The brushes I received were 1-inch and 1 1/2-inch, the larger brush is completely unusable on short hair. I was initially going to contact Amazon customer service;, however when I pulled up the item from my order it was the advertising that was the problem. At the beginning of the product information the brushes were listed as 3/4-inch and 1-inch, however at the end of the information they were referred to as 1-inch and 1 1/2-inch which I didn't notice. I am so disappointed in Amazon for the way they advertised this item, I had spent a lot of time on Amazon's website trying to find a hot air brush that would work for my short hair. Now it turns out, not only did I apparently waste money on this product but also a lot of time. Amazon should do better than this, those of us who order regularly depend on their product descriptions and this one unfortunately was deceptive, placing the blame squarely on the customer for not "noticing" the discrepancy. What upsets me the most is that I like Conair products and I was pretty sure this hot air brush would be what I wanted. Bottom line: read the product descriptions several times very carefully and watch for these types of misleading advertisements.
