Wow... I literally just posted a review on this bad boy a few days ago, that it does what it's supposed to, and then two nights ago, it just started making this beeping sound. Now, it no longer works. This is not cool at all, son. Almost $70 for a piece of junk that's got all of my files STUCK and unable to be recovered. No luck with a Windows based computer, Blu Ray player, or a Mac. This is not cool at all. I've not even owned this piece of JUNK for 3 months yet!!! And it appears that my warranty window is now closed. Even if it's not, I don't see any way to contact the sellers for assistance. I'm not too excited about this. When this JUNK did work, it was nice, quiet and compact. Didn't even need an external power source. Now, all my dreams are crushed... Wish I could get a total refund because I bought one for myself and another one of these pieces of JUNK for someone else. Super unhappy about this foolishness. =( This should not be the #1 best seller for external hard drives. It should be number nothing-at-all.
