02/2016 - RIP... Back down to two stars. REVIEW EDIT: I've bumped this up from 2 to 4 stars. I found a spot on my desk it works well on. I've had to tighten up a few of the screws to hold the snowball but it works ok. The end of the boom (where it slides into the mount) feels very flimsy buts it held up so far. Overall, I think I've got my monies worth. PRIOR REVIEW: Sadly this item is unusable for anything beyond a "tiny" desk.. I did not realize this mic stand would be so small. For what its worth, the mic stand seems of ok quality. The price of this stand is great as long as you can deal with its "so small" size... I've attached a few photos with a keyboard and a banana for scale..
