I am a fan of Ruth Ware's novels. When I saw her latest was a locked room mystery I was very excited to read. Although the setting--a remote french ski chalet--and somewhat interesting cast of characters; lots of hip, wealthy young techies from a cool start-up, seemed like a great set-up, there just isn't any tension here. Once the first murder happens, it becomes a real slog getting to the end. The last quarter of the book drags on and holds very few surprises. If locked room "and then there were none" mysteries are your cup of tea, I recommend Lucy Foley's The Guest List.
