***FINAL UPDATE: RETURNED*** As suspected, the manufacture never got back to me and I had to return the desk. Ended up getting an ikea manual crank desk in its place (its great except for the physical labor). BTW, returning this desk to amazon was a MASSIVE pain. While they were very helpful, the return took a long time and the desk had to be disassembled and repacked. Not worth the risk and the hassle. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***SAD UPDATE*** As with all deals, sometimes they are too good to be true. Sadly, this is one of those cases. I have had the desk for two weeks now and it almost completely has stopped working. The desk randomly come down on its own (sometimes only by a foot or so), then becomes completely unresponsive. When you try to reset the desk (with the instructions provided) the desk will work for about 15 minutes, and then the same issue arises again. I have tried calling the manufacture but so far haven't heard anything yet. I really want to love this product, and while it's possible this is a defective unit, I'm guessing this will end in a return to amazon sadly. I will update this review when a final decision is made. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Review: Honestly this is one of the best budget desks you can currently buy. We’re spoiled at work and have top of the line Varidesks, so I really wanted to get one at home. This was by far the best deal on the market. There’s only a couple cons: the desk comes down a little shaky (nothing to noticeable but something to mention), and the table top comes in two pieces that you put together (in practice this is fine but if you have OCD it might bother you). All in all, the best compromise if you’re looking for something that gets the job done and is pretty decent quality. I would strong recommend getting the 3 year warranty on it though ($25) as reliability is to be seen yet. For what it’s worth there is a 1 year manufacturing warranty that comes with the packaging.
