I purchased this thermos to bring hot lunch with me to work. It kept the soup hot for several hours. I was hoping to use it for a variety of foods, but the 2 3/4" wide mouth opening makes this jar hard to use for non-liquids. I was happy with soups though, but after I used the product a few times, the inner lid popped out in transit, giving me a surprise of hot soup spilling all over as I was unscrewing the outer cup-lid. You would expect a thermos to be designed to hold hot liquids, right? The inner lid no longer holds, and there is no visible damage to the thread on the lid or the vessel! Now, it just keeps twisting, thread not holding. The thread is very flimsy, and I am not surprised that it got damaged, even though I was pretty careful to not over-tighten. I was really disappointed, especially having used a Stanley 16oz travel mug for several years without any problem. It is 2 weeks past the return period, and I am not sure what to do with this $30 unusable jar...
