I was very intrigued by the storyline of this book but I was quickly disappointed. Before we learn enough about the main character, (a teenage girl) to care about what happens the author throws us into a ridiculous situation. Read on if you want an idea. After being asleep (because of a rare condition she has) for abut a month her best friend convinces her to go to a party to prove to the other kids that she's not dead (seriously?) And that she isn't bothered that her ex-boyfriend (that SHE dumped) is dating someone else. They pull up at the party house and see a girl run out carrying a guy's shorts and underwear. The guy us following her. While at the party she sees her best friend go upstairs with some guy and her ex walks in. The main character argues a bit with the ex and decides to find her friend. She walks upstairs (past the wall that has condoms tacked to it) while the ex follows her. She's opening all the doors to rooms and closets where couples are having sex. At one closet the door is open so a boy can film the 2 girls making out. Then the ex shoves her into a closet, starts kissing her, has his hand up her shirt when the friend finds her. They leave the party. On the way home Byrne starts to fall asleep again. Hey, if I woke up after a month and saw that was my life I'd go back to sleep too. I stopped reading and deleted it.
