Update: I tried to return it, and amazon's return system directs one to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer states that they do not process returns and refers one back to amazon. There i was told by the customer service reps that this item was non returnable. It did (and as of the writing of this update) and does not say non-returnable on the item's description, nor anytime during the ordering process. I don't know what happened to amazon's return policy, but if this is an indication of things to come, I have to rethink my prime membership. If something is not returnable it needs to be clearly identified as such!!! Beware if you're buying it for a pellet grill. Vacuum is not powerful enough to work on pellet grills. The large nozzle will not get into all the crevices and the suction is not powerful enough to overcome this. One has to be right on top of the ash to pick it up. Furthermore, if there is the slightest moisture in the ash this vacuum will not pick it up.
