I was so excited to get this Matcha deliver today. Based on several people’s reviews on its size and the price, I am already aware of its priciness before placing an order. I was therefore not too shocked on its size when I got the package. Due to considerable compliments on its quality and its advertisement as the best ceremonial grade Matcha out there, I decided to get Encha a shot although its price is extreamly high and is above the price point where I usually pay for teas. After reading the story of the founder of Encha and its business practices from the litlle broucher coming with the package, I had to admit that their story completely made me felt that the price I spent on their product is well-worth. This feeling however does not last long. As soon as I cut and opened the bag and took a spoonful of matcha power to make a cup of drink, I found a piece of an inch-long plastic string in the Encha Matcha powder! This is so gross and I felt so toxic! Their story about the delicate practices to make the best organic, chemical-free, ceremonial-graded matcha that I just read a minute ago sounds like a fake story to me instantly. How in the world that you promote your product “organic”, “the best graded”, “chemical-free” but your product somehow contains a “foreign object” that is very harmful to consume. I felt so bad of spending $28 on this poor-QC, misadvertised product. I need my money back!
