Jessica Hyde ruins this show
I was hooked during the first two episodes, particularly because the cast was exceptional. Also, I liked the direction where the story was going as it somewhat relates to modern events. The bad guys seemed interestingly weird enough to keep my attention. The group of four that meet up in the first episode have such great chemistry, and were fun to watch. Then, the character Jessica Hyde swoops in, straight-up murders one of the four characters in cold blood for no reason other than the group doesn't need two leaders (or some bs). After their initial short-lived shock, the other characters just kinda go along with it and it's like it never happened. The entire dynamic of the show changes after that moment and takes a hard nosedive. I watched up to the middle of episode four in hopes that it would get better, but had to turn it off because of how bad it got - BECAUSE OF JESSICA HYDE. What a tremendously terrible character. A lot reviewers are complaining about the gratuituous violence, but in Amazon's defense I'm pretty sure the ratings shown before the episodes indicate that this is probably not entertainment suitable for the entire family.
But I'll say it again, Jessica Hyde ruins this show. Don't waste your time, as you will only be disappointed.
