Would give 0 stars if I could!
My first review was even rejected by Amazon, but they kept pestering me with their "how much stars would you give this book?" spam, so here - NONE. First two books had their awful moments, which I could cope with and actually enjoy reading, but after hitting the 3rd book it all went downhill so fast, it made me sick right to my bone marrow. If i knew what the 3rd book was bringing, I wouldn't bother read the first one, because it all ended so disgusting. I suppose if I started to discuss particular plot points and character, it would be a massive spoiler for everyone who is still gonna read this trash - but my problem is exactly with the plot and the characters. So, let's say this: at the end of the day, Lia is going to become no less than Nazi of Muirwood, and perhaps even worse. She kills millions of people just because she was told to. And this whole thing with the Medium - it's bad to hurt and to kill people, but if Medium tells you, that's completely okay. There's a scene where a bunch of people gets burned alive in a huge oven (just like Nazis did), which is bad, but Lia can't save them because Medium gives her no power for that. Just minutes after, she becomes the reason for the death of millions of people, because Medium willed her to. People are bad because they kiss before marriage and wear skimpy dresses, so lets let's kill them all. And it's absolutely completely okay to kill off the whole humanity because you were told to do that by your god/Medium. It's also completely okay to not prevent your pregnant wife from being poisoned to death when you knew for years it would happen, okay not to save her and your own country and whole nation - so that kid who'll kill off the whole humanity can grow up the way she is. Because Medium said you should do that. Against that backdrop characters not holding their promises and oaths made after their lives has been saved, or abandoning random people to horrible deaths, or abandoning to the same horrible death people you were sworn to protect with your life - well, that's nothing, I guess. But all of those killers and oath-breakers are painted as good and righteous people and get to be saved in the end, and to leave for some Tolkien-like "new land" where everyone are as good and righteous, and won't wear any skimpy dresses, I guess. What kind of a sick twisted message is that? Also, so much religious cliches and crap, you can't even begin to imagine. Women are the roots of all evil in the world, etc... I was so revolted and sick with how the series ended I couldn't endure to read the end of the book, just skipped through. Wouldn't touch either these books or their author with a ten yard-long stick.
