Super thin, rough material. The material is NOTHING like that of napkins you find in nicer restaurants. (Notice how you can see my hand through the fabric in the picture and you can also see the weave.) I feel certain that these won't hold up to the kind of heavy, daily use and frequent washing I had in mind. Speaking of washing - here are the label instructions for washing, "machine wash separately in cold water, use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean. Rinse thoroughly in cold water. Do not wring. Lay flat or line dry." A napkin that I need to wash separately in cold water and can't bleach or put in the dyer - NO THANKS!
