I was so excited the a7iv was coming out. Read rumors about it for years. Finally a camera that can do it all!! I have 2 a7iii, a7riii and a7siii. Finally I can have a camera that can replace all those and be my main photo and video camera!! Wait… this camera has a 1.5x crop on 4k60??? Thought it might not be an issue. Bought a 10-18 crop sensor lens. After a few hours of testing, nope!! This sucks. I shoot real estate, portrait videos and photos. I will have to carry around 4 lenses to do everything I need to, instead of 2 lenses I can use with the a7siii. My 24-70 was great for almost every situation. Now I have to carry a 16-35 with me too if I want to use this as my only camera. Unfortunately, the a7siii can’t do professional photos with only 12mp. I have to carry around 2 cameras! This doesn’t fix the problem at all. Now I just have to wait another 2 years for Sony to make a camera that can do everything the Canon R5 can do. (A1 doesn’t have a flip screen which is very important.) Canon R5 is so tempting right now. Could do every job I want with 1 camera and 2 lenses. So devastated that Sony released a camera that was almost perfect. Hope they make a firmware upgrade that allows 4k60 no crop but with some other limitations like 8bit. Sadly, I’ll probably return this and use the a7iii and a7siii together, or switch to the a1.
