Your product "requires" a carbon AA battery instead of an Alkaline AA battery as is noted in the VERY fine print in the VERY last sentence of the product instructions with the warning that the clock will be ruined if Alkaline batteries are used! Carbon batteries are dangerous to the environment (they contain cadmium which must be disposed of as hazardous material), but for that they are generally cheaper - who cares about the environment anyway, right!?! So now the clock stopped after about 6 hours because I used an Alkaline battery!! Other than that, I love the clock!! It is right twice a day!!
