Try bite-size shredded wheat instead
Used Glandex on our vet's recommendation for the last 5 months for severe anal gland odor. Glandex only helped odor slightly. I just happened to start giving our dog a couple shredded wheats as a treat while I was eating breakfast about 6 weeks ago. To my surprise, within a week no more odor! I stopped giving her Glandex just to be sure the Glandex had not suddenly started to work. The odor has not returned and I continue to give her 2-3 mini-wheats a day with no return of the odor. What a great accidental discovery and godsend.
