Don't do it. Just don't.
In anticipation of a solo hiking and biking trip I purchased this tent because of its seemingly good reviews and more importantly how often they stated its durability. I've often heard about people who are given incentives to give good reviews but I wouldn't have thought that for a simple tent, now I'm not so sure. The tent stakes bent with no pressure at all but they threw in a few extra so I didn't really care and I made the bent stakes work. What I couldn't make work was my tent pole coming apart. While taking the tent down - like I had done the 8 times before, which makes it nearly new- I pulled the pole from the sleeve and with no force whatsoever the string snapped. I was alone, on top of a mountain, while it was pouring rain and now I had to descend said rainy mountain because I had no tent. Yes all those things matter, products like this are suppose to be the last thing I should worry about. After descending I then had to then ride many more miles in the rain to find a hotel to be able to write this review and tell the Coleman Sundome 2-Person Tent to eat $%it and to tell other people to not buy this tent. The expletives I wish I could use at this moment are coursing through my veins. I'm sure this will get taken down anyway.
