Perhaps it's my fault for not knowing about this "safety" feature, but this product only turns on while facing horizontally down towards the earth. Meaning, that if you wanted to sterilize a door knob, or even the headrest of an airplane seat (as advertised) you CANNOT. This product will not work on 3-Dimensional structures. Only a flat HORIZONTAL surface, such as a keyboard, or a table. So if you wanted to sterilize the toilet seat, you can, BUT, as soon as you want to sterilize the inside rim, you cannot. The safety feature disables the device so ONLY horizontal surfaces can be disinfected. For this reason, I will be returning this product.
