They repel the birds, but don't hold up to weather
Update 2: The last of these that haven't blow away are virtually useless. The silver reflective material is shedding off. Lastly, be careful of where you install them. With 3 in a vertical line, a mild wind can whip them into your siding and cause damage. they beat the paint off my siding in places after about a year. If they would hold up, the idea works. Just not made for normal outdoor range of weather. Update: 1 year later and 80% of these "gone with the wind". The holes in the disks tear out at the edge where the swivels are installed and the disks blow away during moderate winds. The holes are too close to the edge and need reinforcement. The swivel hardware rusts badly and streaks the disks with rust. What few are left look bad. Great idea, but poor execution. Don't waste your money. Purchased these a just few weeks ago to keep birds from "littering" on our lake boat dock. They do seem to work, however, they aren't designed for routine stormy weather. One of the disks is already gone, apparently the hole tearing out where the ring goes through it. The rings, which are strong, and clamp tightly, are made of materials at the pivot points that are already rusting from rains. Disappointed, especially after paying a high price for what you get.
