This used to be an awesome product
Up until Feb. 2013, I would've said that this is one of my favorite training tools for out of control dogs. I've used these and sold these to clients for many years with great results. I have 7 year-old collars that I use daily, that have never given me any trouble, and are still sturdy. It's like power steering for dogs, and is only as harsh as the person holding the leash. That said, the last batch I purchased in Feb. 2013 had such minimal, sloppy stitching that two brand-new collars broke within 30 minutes of putting them on dogs. The stitching is about half of what it used to be and of much poorer quality, so I'm not surprised, but I am very disappointed. I hope that Triple Crown will address the problem and go back to their old manufacturing process, but in the meanwhile, buyer beware.
