Not a replacement for LG ADQ747935
Even though the main item description states that it is a replacement for ADQ747935, it is not. It WILL lock into place snugly and give the ILLUSION that it is working. However, the inner portion of the CONNECTOR IS DIFFERENT is different and doesn’t engage with the valve and the result is no water ever flows through the filter. See my attached photos. When a new filter is installed, you will get a little bit of sputtering from the spigot because of the air that was in the filter. I didn’t get any of that from these which caused me to investigate further. The primary way you can tell if the filter is actually functioning and water is flowing through it is by installing the filter, running water through the system, then removing the filter, and tipping it upside down. There should be a small amount of water that pours out. If all you get is a couple drops, then that was most likely some residual water that was already present when you removed the old filter. Note: I removed and replaced the filter several times hoping that it would “catch” on the valve to turn it eventually, however all it did was make dents on the inner plastic connector (which you can see in the photo actually if you look closely.) Anywho, I wonder how many other people have used these and “thought” it was working but in reality it wasn’t. Especially since it does “fit” in the filter holder. Sadly, I can’t seem to find a replacement that is actually like my original, except for the original. And that one is like $45 a piece! 🤦🏻‍♂️
