You're not saving money
We bought a sodastream "Jet" in 2007. Back when we bought it the standard size for the Jet was a 110L carbonator. We bought a total of three carbonators so that our refills would push us over the "free shipping with $50 purchase" limit. We kept a tally of the number of liters of soda we were drinking, more for diet reasons than for accounting, but we did determine that the 110L carbonators were good for about 70-80 liters. The discrepancy is over 30% of the advertised volume.
Our unit cost came out to $0.42/liter over 12-refills and our unit is just about shot now with leaky O-rings (that sodastream refuses to provide parts for).
Free shipping has since been eliminated and the cost of refills is now 40% higher in total which would push our costs to over $0.60 cents/liter if you consider the cost of buying another Jet.
Considering that a Costco or Sam's club membership will get you two liter bottles for 80 cents each plus CRV the only thing you're really saving here is some plastic.
If your goal is to have a novelty item in your house and to reduce your plastic consumption (at over 20 cents per bottle) then buy a sodastream. If not, stick with a warehouse discounter.
