Actifry by the French company T-Fal worked as advertised - for about 5 meals. Then, the heating element flamed out for no reason at all! Research on the internet revealed same problem with "warranty" solution. Warranty? Yep. Shipping there: about $60; Diagnoastic charge: roughly $40; Repairs: estimated $100; (They'll tell you "operator error"). Shipping back: about $60; Hindsight: Priceless! Cheaper to just buy replacements over and over? Kicker: $250 for 5 batches of french fries. That works out to about a buck a fry. Save yourself the trouble and expense... Spray the same amount of olive oil on your fries and bake 'em... Same result.
