★☆☆☆☆
Arrogant and sometimes disturbing
I was so pumped about this book during the first few chapters, but then the more I read the more I got the idea of how arrogant and egotistical the author is. This book does have some good encouragements, but nothing new. It is all over the place, and when it comes to God or Christian advice she has little insight, which is surprising since it was published by a Christian company and listed as “Christian self help.” Something that really turned me off about this book is that the author justifies ignoring her children’s requests for more involvement because one day they will understand how important her career was. Also in another chapter she explains how her son woke in the middle of the night and wanted to sleep in bed with her and her husband but that is strictly against the rules, and that the four year old told a CPS agent during an adoption interview that it makes him sad when his daddy gets mad at him for him wanting to sleep in bed with them. She saw nothing wrong with this, and adds that you gotta find the humor in the chaos. So disappointed with this book and the ratings that it has received.
