I already had some anti-tarnish cloth for some silver items, but needed more. I bought a yard, and it came right away. It can be cut or torn, although it unravels a bit when torn. I sealed small pieces of the cloth inside little plastic bags of silver jewelry, and wrapped larger items in the cloth. It seems to be working very well at keeping the tarnish away. Whoever invented it was brilliant! After giving this cloth a good try, I am revising my opinion. The silver jewelry that I had in Zip-Tite bags with this cloth still tarnished, but the jewelry in bags with the brown silver cloth I had before stays shiny. This stuff isn't very effective, at all, over a period of time. I am removing this black stuff from the bags and adding snippets of the brown cloth that I still have left. I no longer recommend this black anti-tarnish silver cloth.
