So based on the description of this book I thought it would be great... then I started reading and realized why I thought that. Let me paint you a picture: An old enemy returning after years of not being seen or heard from. An old ship from an old war is being retired and turned into a museum. An alcoholic XO (second in command). A leader dying of cancer. An enemy that has evolved beyond what humans could have imagined making our technology obsolete. Making it so humanity's only hope lies with rag tag crew aboard the outdated ship. The ship that is so outdated that it withstands the initial shock attack. The description I just gave you is of two separate things. It is of the Constitution: Book 1 and of the remake of Battlestar Galactica. I will also say one of them is vastly superior to the other. Based on the number of stars I gave this, it is obviously Battlestar. This book is a blatant rip off of Battlestar Galactica, and honestly, if I were the creators of Battlestar I would have my lawyers bring an intellectual property case to Mr. Webb and his team. Don't waste your money on this sub par copy, and don't help him afford defense lawyers.
