Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

We've been feeding our dog the lamb and rice formula of this brand of dog food for over two years, from the time she was 10 weeks old. It's gone well (she's always loved both the puppy and the adult formulas) and we felt confident about it—thought it to be a better dog food than most. The kibble was smooth and dark and smelled rich, she never had gas, and she was easy to "pick up after" in the yard. But that's all changed. The last fews bags have looked and smelled slightly different, but this most recent bag is VERY different: the kibble is golden in color instead of the dark brown it once was (see image), it doesn't smell as rich, and it's scratchy and grainy looking. The color of the food was SO different that it made us do a double take and check the bag to make sure we received the right thing! Just a week later we noticed that her stools were no longer dark brown, which has never been the case, and somewhat loose—and oddly, they looked CHALKY when allowed to sit and dry. (?!) This has continued, and now she frequently has gas, which she never (ever) had before. Even though she's still eating it, we're moving to another brand and are starting to research. Has anybody else had this problem? I need to check other reviews from the past few months… there's just SUCH a difference—going in and coming out—no denying it. Note: Six weeks ago when I came in to order this most recent bag, the descriptions of all the formulas had changed, and it was confusing as to what we were actually ordering (it kept listing the adult lamb meal as "Senior"). It was then that I noticed a column to the right with "Grain-Free" Diamond Naturals food being advertised. Not sure how new that is anymore, but it was new to us then. We wonder if that has anything to do with this. We should have asked for a refund immediately. Not throwing more money away on this stuff, no longer trust it, DO NOT RECOMMEND.
