Update: i have been able to hit 15-20miles/hr through increased use. However the range still comes up short around 12-18 miles before needing to recharge depending on incline. I have yet to reach the advertised 26 miles per charge, or even 20 miles per charge would be nice. I have been reached out by Segway support and they are currently helping to figure out why my particular scooter is having issues with range. I have several friends with this exact unit model and they have had no issues of speed and range. I’m hoping Segway will help me figure out what’s wrong, or help me to ship it back for repairs or a refund. So far Segway customer service has been extremely supportive and committed to customer satisfaction. I will update again. Original post: Speed and range not as described. Does not go 18mph, nor 26miles on one charge. More like 15mph and 18miles on one charge. Very big difference. Also, Amazon prime will not honor the return policy because “we are unable to ship products with lithium batteries in it because they pose a fire hazard”. Wish they had listed that somewhere before I bought it. Kind of funny that they had no problems shipping it to me, but when I want to return it now it’s a fire hazard.
