I received this book as a gift. While the recipes and the education about how to cook vegan look great, the racial implications of two white people writing a book with the word “thug” in the title just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. This is a terrible case of cultural (mis)appropriation. It was written by two white people in Hollywood who are making money off a culture and life they don’t understand. I will be returning this book.
