After a short time, this tray gives off a funk smell that is not at all appealing, and the ice cubes are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get out of the tray (tried twisting, turning, pushing from bottom, etc.). The only way I was able to get them out was with hot water, melting much of the cube. The worst thing about them, however, is the nasty smell. I tried running them through the dishwater, and now I'm trying baking them for an hour or two. (WARNING: Do NOT put the plastic tray or cover in the oven, only the silicone mold). If that doesn't work, this is going in the trash. *Edit* Baking it for about an hour and a half at 400 degrees worked like a CHARM on getting the smell out! But again, getting the frozen cubes out are a real challenge.
