Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) is an effect where radiation emitted after a nuclear blast destroys the silicon junctions in semi conductors. (Micro-chips, processors, transistors, etc.). This is a direct influence effect, it does not come as a transient through cables or conductors, so the only way to prevent damage is direct shielding of the components. The shielding has to be fully sealed, of the correct material, and bonded. It is thick and heavy. This is why, in the early 70’s and 80’s, both the US and Russia attempted micro vacuume tube technologies... which failed. This small filter will do NOTHING. Best case, it is a standard line filter like a common mode choke so it provides some protection against failures from transient voltage spikes. Worse case it is a box full of nothing.
