The book drew me in and I was eager to finish reading, so as I sometimes do, I read every spare moment I had and late into the night. I was aware that this was the first book in a series, I have read many books that are part of a series but could still be stand alone books. NOT true with this book. As the story builds and draws to a conclusion the book just STOPS. Not one of the story lines is resolved and the ending is such a let down. Obviously, it is an attempt by the author to entice the reader to buy the second book in order to learn what happens with the characters. Speaking for myself, I am so angry that not only will I not buy the next book in the series. I will avoid any other books by this author.
