These Are Asian Beetles
These are clearly not native ladybugs, no matter where they were collected. I have personally collected thousands of dead Asian beetles from between my windows and storm windows over the past few year, here in the United States. Asian is an identification of a variety, not a location. Although they did originate in Asia, there are plenty of them living in the US, happily eating and reproducing. The clear "M" shaped markings, the variance in spots, the orange/brown color and the elongated shape are all signs that these are Asian beetles. Native lady bugs are round, red, have little white cheeks, are smaller with a consistent spot pattern. To be certain I checked with a professional and he confirmed my suspicions.
This is an invasive species that is wiping out native lady bugs. They hibernate and will try to invade your home. They will bite and they stink and stain if you accidentally slap one as it bites you. If I had looked more closely at the photos, I would not have bought them. I wish I had not and I hope you don't.
